America's Edge
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers has launched America's Edge. The campaign seeks to: Re-emphasize technical and vocational classes in America's high schools; Expand the availability of industrial technology and information technology courses in America's community colleges; Create High Tech Institutes in each state that focus on 21st Century manufacturing technologies and materials: and provide a pathway for all Americans to readily upgrade their skills to remain competitive throughout their working lives.
